Draw a sample once, build worklists an analyst claims one at a time, run plates and sensory panels against agreed limits, and close with a sample dossier assembled from the records themselves.
The sample keeps its story.

Follow one sample
Draw the sample once, with its reason
Samples are drawn for receiving, in-process checks, finished goods, stability or an ad-hoc request.
How the lab workbench works: sample draw, worklists, plates and runs, specification judgement, panels and the sample dossier
1. Draw the sample once, with its reason
Samples are drawn for receiving, in-process checks, finished goods, stability or an ad-hoc request.
The draw keeps who took it, when, the container, the quantity and the storage condition.
A stability timepoint is fulfilled by the sampler and arrives as an ordinary sample, so nothing is tested without a record.
- Stability
- Studies carry a protocol number, a storage condition and a study kind such as long term, accelerated or in use.
Sample plans and quantities come from your own specifications and procedures.

Every sample, including a stability pull, starts as one drawn record.
2. Build the queue, let analysts claim it
A supervisor builds a worklist of samples against methods and reopens it if needed.
Analysts claim items from the queue and completion is recorded on the item.
A sample can be held by one analyst at a time, so the same vial is not worked twice.
A control-tower view counts open samples, queued and running tests, what finished in the last 24 hours and open out-of-spec work.
- Bench terminal
- Analysts work the same worklist at a lab kiosk, where the claim is made.
The qualification check uses the training records your workspace holds.

3. Run the plate, fit the curve
Plates are 96-well, 384-well or tray, and each well is marked sample, standard, blank or control.
A standard curve is fitted from the standard wells and reported with its correlation.
Tests move from queued to running to complete, and the raw reading is kept with the run.
An instrument's calibration and maintenance dates are checked when a reading is captured.
- Instruments
- The register holds maker, model, serial number, location and the next due dates.
The fitted curve is shown to the analyst, who applies it to the result. The plate itself releases nothing.

4. Compare it with the limit, once, in one place
Methods carry a unit and a minimum and maximum, or a written limit.
Pass or fail is evaluated in one place, with rounding applied once rather than at every step.
A result that cannot be judged by number is flagged for a person to decide.
A result outside its limit opens an investigation with phases, a severity and signed advancement.
- Out of specification
- Investigation steps, root cause and corrective action link to a CAPA.
Where the rule needs judgement, the screen asks a person instead of deciding.

5. Close with the dossier and the panel
A dossier consolidates the samples and test runs for a work order or lot, with their signatures and investigations.
Totals show samples, runs, pass, fail, pending and open investigations at a glance.
Sensory panels run on the same bench: blinded ballots, an agreed attribute scale with acceptance limits, a minimum number of assessors and a signed close.
Panellist qualifications can be granted or revoked for a method or attribute, with an expiry date and an evidence note.
- Dossier output
- The consolidated pack can be produced as a document for review.
Panel designs — descriptive, hedonic, intensity, triangle or duo-trio — and their acceptance limits are yours to set.

Straight answers.
What buyers ask us first about Quality & Laboratory.
Does V5 release product automatically?
No. V5 gathers results and records for review, but a person in quality decides and signs the release.
What does the lab side cover?
Lab and QC covers sampling, instruments, methods, results and out-of-spec handling, with LIMS, lab notebook, stability and SPC on top. These are Enterprise features; see Compare details on the pricing page.
Can we use V5 in a validated environment?
For validation-controlled operations, V5's route is Enterprise private cloud with controlled upgrades and IQ/OQ support. Your team still validates V5 for its intended use.
