CMMS that shows which batches an asset touched.
Keep each asset's work orders, calibration and history with the batches it ran.
One asset register for maintenance and quality
Every asset carries its PM plan, calibration record, SOP revision, spare parts list and complete usage history in one place.
Work orders with signatures and SOP revision
Technicians execute against the approved SOP revision, sign electronically, and record parts consumed against inventory.
Spares and Inventory in the Same System
Parts are reserved when the work order opens and consumed at close, so stock levels and reorder points reflect reality.
What goes wrong today3 common problems
Maintenance Lives in a Separate Tool
A standalone CMMS cannot tell QA whether a mixer was inside its PM window when a batch ran through it.
Work order history is not audit evidence
Free-text tickets with no signatures, no revision-controlled SOP and no parts traceability fail the first serious inspection question.
Assets are used while out of tolerance
Without hard gating, an overdue or failed asset stays available to the floor until somebody notices.

Common questions5 answers
- What is CMMS software?
- A computerised maintenance management system holds the asset register, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, spare parts and maintenance history for a plant. In a regulated plant it must also produce audit-ready evidence that equipment was fit for use when product ran through it.
- How is V5 different from a standalone CMMS?
- V5 keeps maintenance in the same record as production and quality. The asset that a work order covers is the same asset the batch record scanned, so equipment status can hard-gate execution and maintenance history can be pulled per batch during an investigation.
- Does it handle calibration as well as maintenance?
- Yes. Calibration schedules, certificates, as-found/as-left results and out-of-tolerance impact assessments sit alongside PM plans on the same asset.
- Can technicians work on a tablet on the floor?
- Yes. Work orders execute on kiosk or tablet with scan-based asset identification, electronic signature and photo capture.
- Does it integrate with ERP?
- Yes. Spare parts consumption, purchase requests and cost postings flow back to ERP while V5 holds the execution evidence.
