Module · Hardware & devices

HardwareV5 talks to the floor, not just about it.

A managed device layer connects scales, label printers, barcode scanners, lab instruments and kiosk tablets to the workflows that need them — bound to stations, calibrated on a schedule, audit-trailed on every reading.

Before / after

What changes the day you switch this on.

Before V5
  • Manual, paper-driven, and only audited after the fact.
  • Tribal knowledge in spreadsheets and shared drives.
  • Errors caught at month-end — too late to fix the batch.
  • Different teams keep their own version of the truth.
With V5
  • Scales — Bluetooth, serial, USB & Ethernet
  • Zebra & label printers
  • Scanners & camera barcode
  • Lab instruments

What you actually get

Operator-led, e-signed, immutable. Engineered for regulated manufacturers — not retrofitted.

Scales — Bluetooth, serial, USB & Ethernet

Live tare/zero/weight piped into dispense and weigh-out steps with tolerance bands; networked floor scales (Mettler IND, Rice Lake 1280, Avery, Sartorius Combics) stream over TCP/IP or Modbus; readings signed to the BMR.

Zebra & label printers

GS1-128 license plates, lot/serial labels, finished-goods labels — printed at the station, reprinted with audit trail.

Scanners & camera barcode

USB/Bluetooth scanners and on-device camera scanning for kiosks and phones; same scan path everywhere.

Lab instruments

Capture instrument readings against samples — instrument ID, calibration status and operator e-sig stored with the result.

Kiosk tablets & stations

Each station is named, bound to its devices, and locks an operator session to the workflow it is set up for.

Calibration on a schedule

Devices have calibration_at; due/overdue surfaces in the daily brief and on the calendar feed.

What this leaves behind

One operator action — a complete, signed record.

Built-in evidence

What it leaves behind

  • Bluetooth + serial + USB + Ethernet scales supported
  • Zebra ZPL templating
  • Per-station device bindings
  • Calibration due dates on the .ics feed
