V5 Ultimate vs Dot Compliance
V5 Ultimate vs Dot Compliance
Dot Compliance is the native Salesforce eQMS for life sciences — document control, CAPA, training, audit, supplier quality and complaint handling on Salesforce's platform with the configurability and ecosystem that brings. V5 Ultimate is a regime-aware MES + WMS + QMS on one validated platform. This page is the honest version of where Dot Compliance is the better answer and where V5 is.

What each product actually is
Dot Compliance is a Salesforce-native eQMS — same architectural family as TrackWise Digital, but positioned for mid-market and growing life-sciences companies with shorter implementation timelines and pre-configured templates. V5 Ultimate is a unified MES + WMS + QMS where the QMS is wired directly to production execution. If your scope is pure-QMS on Salesforce and your team already lives in Salesforce, Dot Compliance has natural pull. If you also need to run the floor, V5 is one purchase instead of two.
Salesforce platform — pros and cons
Salesforce-native means you inherit Salesforce identity, reporting, integration (MuleSoft) and ecosystem. It also means you inherit Salesforce platform costs at scale, per-org governor limits, and the constraint that everything lives on a multi-tenant cloud you don't control. V5 runs on a purpose-built Postgres + container stack: simpler scaling for high-volume manufacturing telemetry, on-prem option, and no Salesforce licensing layered on top of the eQMS price.
Execution on the floor
Dot Compliance does not run the floor — life-sciences customers pair it with a separate MES or ERP execution module. V5 is operator-first: kiosk + handheld UX, scale streaming, scanner-driven weigh-out, two-person dispense, in-process gating, label printing at the station, equipment lockouts. The batch record self-builds. For an operating company that needs eQMS + execution, V5 replaces two systems.
Deployment and validation
Dot Compliance is cloud-only (Salesforce multi-tenant). V5 ships as Lovable Cloud (multi-tenant Postgres with row-level isolation) and V5 Ultimate On-Premises (containerised, air-gap capable, customer-owned keys). On-prem matters for radiopharma, defence and certain blood/tissue customers who can't send records off-site. V5's validation pack is pre-built for Part 11 / Annex 11.
Implementation timeline
Dot Compliance's pitch versus enterprise TrackWise is shorter implementation — 12–16 weeks is typical for a focused mid-market scope. V5's mid-size implementation is 10–14 weeks for the QMS module and 14–20 weeks if you're also bringing execution online. For pure-QMS scope the timelines are comparable; for combined QMS + execution V5 collapses two projects into one.
Pricing model
Dot Compliance is sales-led, per-user with Salesforce platform fees layered in. V5 publishes per-user / month for Cloud and an annual term licence for On-Premises, with a free trial and no minimum seat count. There is no platform-licence pass-through on V5.
Where Dot Compliance is the better fit
Mid-market life-sciences QMS teams whose company is already standardised on Salesforce and want to leverage that platform, organisations who specifically want Salesforce identity / reporting / MuleSoft integration, or buyers who don't run their own manufacturing floor.
Where V5 Ultimate is the better fit
Operating companies that need eQMS + production execution on the same validated platform, on-prem / air-gap requirements, organisations that don't want a Salesforce platform-fee dependency, multi-industry sites, or teams replacing paper BMRs at the same time as the QMS purchase.

Frequently asked
Can V5 Ultimate replace Dot Compliance for a Series-B life-sciences company?
Yes. Document control, training, CAPA, NC, change control, supplier quality, audit and complaint handling all ship in V5's QMS with a validation pack aligned to ISO 13485 / 21 CFR 820 (QMSR) / 21 CFR 211. If you also run in-house manufacturing, V5 covers execution in the same project.
Does V5 integrate with Salesforce CRM?
Yes — V5 publishes a REST + webhook API and most customers running Salesforce CRM push quality events (complaints, CAPAs, audit findings) into Salesforce for commercial reporting. The difference is V5 doesn't require Salesforce as a platform dependency.
We're already on Salesforce — does that make Dot Compliance obviously better?
Sometimes. If your scope is pure-QMS, your team lives in Salesforce daily and you want MuleSoft-native integration, Dot Compliance has natural pull. If you also need to run the floor or eliminate paper BMRs, the Salesforce alignment doesn't outweigh the cost of running two systems.
