First Expired, First Out
Pick the lot with the soonest expiry first — the rule for any perishable or shelf-life-bound material.
First Expired, First Out (FEFO) is the picking rule for anything with a meaningful expiry date — pharma APIs, food ingredients, supplements, reagents. V5's dispense always proposes the FEFO lot and requires an override reason to pick a longer-dated lot.
