WO

Work Order · work order · production order · job

TL;DR

The authorised instruction to manufacture a specific quantity of a specific product on a specific date — the unit of work tracked through the shop floor.

A Work Order (WO) authorises a production run: product, quantity, target dates, customer / sales-order linkage, MMR/formula version, equipment / line, planned routing. On release it captures an immutable snapshot of the approved formula (MMR), instantiates dispense lists and routing steps, and locks the BOM and process for that batch.

In V5, the work order is the central object the kiosk operates against — dispense, weighing, in-process QC, label print, packout, release — and the BMR/eDHR PDF is rendered straight from the WO record.
